A Marion County man was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he dressed as a woman and stole several items from an Ocala Walmart.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said a Walmart worker saw a man, later identified as Manuel J. Rodriguez, 80, of Ocala, acting suspicious in the apparel department.
The security guard said Rodriguez took tags off $87.60 worth of items and concealed the items in a purse he took from the store shelf.
Investigators said the security worker stopped Rodriguez and held him until a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived.
Rodriguez was arrested and charged with Retail Petit Theft.
