The investigation continues in Orange County after skeletal remains were found Friday by a road crew off Hackney Prairie Road in Ocoee. The Orange County Sheriff's Office says the remains are not those of Tracy Ocasio who has been missing since 2009.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office returned to the scene Saturday morning looking for more evidence. The search area is the same location where police have searched for the body of Ocasio.

The sheriff's office says the Orange County Medical Examiner's examined the remains and has determined they are not the remains of Tracy Ocasio.

Ocasio was last seen in May 2009, when she left a Metrowest-area bar with James Hataway.

Ocasio's family marked her 32nd birthday last month. Her father, Joe Ocasio, asked for help to keep her case in the public eye.

Hataway has long been a person of interest in Ocasio's disappearance, but was never formally charged. He was, however, found guilty of attempted murder in an unrelated case and sentenced to life in prison in 2011.

Prosecutors said Hataway tried to kill Rachel Clarke in 2008. He was arrested on attempted murder charges in June 2009 after Clarke came forward following Ocasio's disappearance.

Hataway was also named a person of interest in the disappearance of Christopher George in February 2009. George's remains were found in Apopka in July 2011, but Hataway was not formally charged in that case, either.

The Orange County Medical Examiner’s office is working to make a positive identification on the remains.
