A man is dead after two personal watercrafts collided in Brevard County.
Gary Thibodeau, 41, of Palm Bay, died shortly after the crash, which happened around 11 a.m. Sunday off Vacation Island Playground in Grant-Valkaria.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers said CPR was performed on the victim when they arrived on scene.
Thibodeau died en route to a hospital in Palm Bay.
Florida Fish and Wildlife officers said he and a passenger -- along with two other men on another watercraft -- were spraying each other with water near the Vacation Island Playground.
During one pass, the watercraft collided, sending Thibodeau and his passenger into the river.
He was found floating facedown and then brought to shore, where CPR began until Brevard firefighters arrived and took over.
Reports said alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
