Orlando police fired one of their own Friday.

Danny Sidders was accused of beating up his ex-girlfriend back in November.

Last month, prosecutors dropped the charges, saying they didn't have any evidence.

Citing and internal affairs investigation and department policy on standards of conduct, the police department announced Sidders' termination.

“The Orlando Police Department relies heavily on the support and trust of our community, and will continue to be responsible in maintaining the integrity and reputation of all Orlando Police Department employees,” the statement said.

Sidders was on paid leave following his initial arrest.
