A Brevard County man finds himself in trouble after telling Palm Bay Police he was looking for a place to smoke marijuana.

It happened just before noon on Sunday, Dec. 15 on Brantley Street SE at Buchanan Avenue SE.

Police said Antony Maestre was acting suspiciously in a high burglary street.

When confronted, Maestre told police he had drugs on him. During a search, officers located three plastic baggies of marijuana, marijuana residue and a marijuana cigar.

Maestre originally told officers he lived in the area, although his apartment is 15 miles away. He finally told police he was looking for a place to smoke the drugs.

The 22-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana under 20 grams.

He was arrested three days later for loitering or prowling and remains in the Brevard County Jail.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 6 on the marijuana charge.
