SpaceX has again postponed the launch of its Falcon 9 rocket, which was supposed to make another attempt to lift off from Brevard County on Monday after a pair of scrubbed attempts last week.

The next launch attempt is set for Tuesday evening, with the launch window open from 5:41 – 6:47 p.m.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk confirmed the latest delay Monday on Twitter, saying the technical issues grounding the rocket last week have been resolved, but crews want to spend another day checking everything to make sure it's ready for launch.

The Falcon 9 rocket was originally supposed to blast off last Monday, but the launch was scrubbed twice, including an attempt on Thanksgiving Day that was called off due to a bad gas generator on one of the rocket's nine engines.

SpaceX said the small generator, itself, is a small rocket engine which powers a turbo pump, producing the horsepower for the engine.

Whenever it does launch, the Falcon 9 is set to carry the SES-8, a 3.5-ton commercial communications satellite, into orbit, SpaceX's first such venture.
