A weak cold front moves through Central Florida, bringing some much-needed rain chances. As high pressure builds behind the front, slightly drier air returns for the rest of the week. Mild temperatures and limited rainfall are expected.

As the next cold front approaches today, scattered showers are expected. Even with plenty of cloud cover, daytime highs will reach the low to mid-80s.

Tonight, the cold front moves through Central Florida. A few light to moderate showers will be possible. Low temperatures remain mild, in the low to mid-60s north of Orlando and upper 60s south.

Tomorrow, lingering clouds and breezy onshore veering winds will hold temperatures to, at or slightly below normal conditions. Scattered showers will still be possible, especially near the coast. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s.

Through the rest of the week, onshore winds keep moderate temperatures and small rain chances in place. Best rain chances will be near the coast, but significant rainfall is not expected. Daytime highs will reach the upper 70s to low 80s.

In the tropics, Subtropical Storm Melissa has formed in the Central Atlantic some 700 miles east-southeast of Bermuda. This will remain over open waters of the Atlantic with no threat to land or Central Florida. The rest of the tropics are quiet.
