Luis Toledo has met with a member of the clergy.
Volusia County spokesman Dave Byron confirms Toledo met with clergy for five minutes Wednesday. No word on what they spoke about.
Toledo's pastor was waiting for a chance to meet with the man accused of killing Yessenia Suarez last month. No word if he was the one who met with Toledo or someone else did.
Meanwhile the search for the bodies of a missing mother and her two children imoved from Volusia County to Seminole County.
Crews began about nine o’clock Wednesday morning searching woods and even cemeteries in Lake Mary and Sanford. There was a belief that the bodies of Yessenia Suarez and her two children could be at a cemetery, or not far from where Suarez worked in Lake Mary.
“We’re hoping in Seminole County we have better luck than we did in Volusia County. It was a place that was traveled by Mr. Toledo, so I’m hoping we’ll find something out here,” said Ruben Perez, Yessenia Suarez’s stepfather.
Four weeks of searching in Volusia County has turned up nothing. Suarez’s mother and stepfather refer to that time as “20 days of hell.”
“You wake up everyday thinking today we’ll find something, and at the end of the day you come up empty,” said Perez.
Suarez’s family said the new location and direction of the search brings new hope.
“Based on trying to track the timeline, Seminole County seems to be a place of interest,” said Perez.
And even though the searching in Seminole County Wednesday did not turn up anything, Suarez’s family and crews searching, remain hopeful.
“Tomorrow’s a new day and we’ll begin again tomorrow, we’re not stopping,” said Perez.
Crews with Texas Equusearch and Suarez’s family are expected back in Seminole County Thursday to resume search efforts.
The search for Yessenia Suarez and her two children, Thalia Otto, 9, and Michael Otto, 8, is now in its fourth week. All three have not been seen since Oct. 22.
