There is now a better idea of what may have caused the death of a Bethune-Cookman University band member's death over the weekend.

According to a police report, 23-year-old Primas Christopher Foulks showed up at the Lake Forest Apartments on Jimmy Ann Drive where other B-CU students were having a party and alcohol was being served.

The report said several witnesses were interviewed and told police Foulks showed up to the party with his own cup of alcohol. They told police that shortly after he arrived, Foulks began to vomit and was sweating profusely. Witnesses told police they asked the 23-year-old to sit down, but he declined and was reportedly jumping around.

Minutes later, witnesses told police Foulks passed out. Thinking he fell asleep, they left him alone for about 10 minutes until they finally checked his pulse and found none.

Police were called and Foulks was pronounced dead inside the apartment. Officers say they saw no signs of trauma or foul play.

A medical examiner will try to determine what led to Foulks death.

A spokesperson for Bethune Cookman University says grief counselors will be on campus to help students mourning their fellow student's death.

Foulks was originally from Columbia, South Carolina studying mass communications.

B-CU President Trudie Kibbe-Reed issued the following statement Sunday:

"On behalf of the entire university family, we extend our condolences to Mr. Foulks' family and loved ones and we will lift them up in prayer during this incredibly difficult time."
