Dozens of family members are trying to figure out if they’re loved ones made it out of Pulse nightclub after the deadliest mass shooting in US history.

The Hampton Inn on Columbia Avenue is being used as a command center for people looking for information about their loved ones. They’re hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

“It’s really, really frustrating,” said Katherine Rosales, looking for information on her cousin. “Everybody in there is either crying or just walking around kind of in a daze, completely shocked that we’re sitting here as family members of the victims and nobody knows if our family is alive, (or if they're) dead.”

Officials are asking only immediate family members check in here at the Hampton Inn, to learn if they’re missing loved ones are okay.

“The hospital is not letting anybody in right now unless they’re immediate family members and they know for a fact that they’re there. So most of the people have been redirected back to the hotel,” Rosales said.

The City of Orlando is posting the names of the victims once next of kin is notified.
