Tampa is the best city to retire, followed by Orlando at No. 5. and St. Petersburg at No. 11, according to a recent study by WalletHub.

The study compared the retirement-friendliness of the 150 largest U.S. cities.

The survey is based on four categories: health care, affordability, recreational activities and quality of life.

Tampa stood out in the affordability category, ranking No. 11. The city ranked No. 4 for recreational activities.

Tampa also ranked No. 26 for health care and No. 21 for quality of life, which included metrics like crime rates, weather, cost of living, and the number of retirees.

According to the study, more and more people are postponing retirement due to the economy.  

The site suggests moving to areas, like those on the list, where you can stretch your dollar without sacrificing your lifestyle.
