It was a gorgeous weekend! Plenty of sunshine and low humidity for both Saturday and Sunday.  Our dry weather starts to come to an end Monday and rain chances will only continue to increase through mid-week.

Partly Cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours.  Winds will remain breezy out of the east, so a few more clouds and maybe a few sprinkles will be possible along the coast as we head toward daybreak. Temperatures will not be as cool, falling only into the middle to low 60s. Some of our northern spots may be able to drop into the upper 50s.

Monday will be mostly sunny and mainly dry.  Winds will still be strong off the ocean, so there is a slight chance for a few showers to move inland.  Humidity will increase a bit, but temperatures will stay in the upper 70s to low 80s for one more day.

The main weather concern for the week will be with an area of low pressure expected to develop over the Bahamas on Tuesday. The low will remain off to our east, but rain chances will still be higher for mid-week as it slowly moves north. There is some indication that this low may become subtropical just off the Carolina coastline late in the week.

In fact, the National Hurricane Center has a 30% chance for development in the next five days. If this happens, not much will change for Central Florida.  We’ll still keep a couple of dry days for Thursday and Friday.

The weekend is more uncertain and will be based on the track of the low.  Rain chances could be higher and ocean conditions could be more hazardous.
