It could only happen in Florida.
Commuters were stuck in a bit of traffic Thursday morning after a wayward alligator was spotted along McMullen Booth Road near Curlew Road in Clearwater.
Deputies were called to the scene, and with the help of a wildlife trapper, were able to get the gator off the road.
They secured the gator, then dragged it across the grass and loaded it onto a truck.
