About 150 people staged a protest at TECO at the Big Bend Station in Gibsonton this afternoon.

Deputies say three protesters interlocked their arms and legs in a device (also known as the sleeping dragon) and blocked the roadway to TECO, two more protesters laid across the road blocking the roadway interlocked in the sleeping dragon device and one protester climbed on top of a semi-trailer.

Law enforcement personnel arrived for crowd management.

Specially trained deputies from the Hillsborough Sheriff's Office and Tampa Police officers cut the interlocking devices from the protesters.

There were no injuries to any protesters involved.

Law enforcement and the protestors came to an agreement.

If the protestors agreed to leave peacefully and because there was no assaults on law enforcement, no property damage and minimal disruption to traffic there would be no arrests.

The protesters were released back to the group, and all protesters left the property peacefully.
