The wife of Tampa Bay Buccaneers place kicker Lawrence Tynes created a Twitter account yesterday, and fired a shot across the bow of Bucs management today.

Amanda Tynes (@amandatynes9) sent the following tweet on Wednesday morning:

"I hear my husband is responding "well" to treatment. LOL! He's NOT responding at all yet. This is our #bucslife", which was followed by the above picture of Tynes with a PICC line in his arm, delivering antibiotics to combat the MRSA infection he contracted at One Buc Place this summer.

Two hours after that tweet, she wrote:

"Thank you so much for all the well wishes. Lawrence finally has the right people in his corner. Right now he needs to rest and get healthy."

The Bucs disclosed last week that Tynes and offensive guard Carl Nicks contracted the staph infection that's resistant to many kinds of antibiotics at team headquarters. Nicks' problem began with a blister on his toe that he was rehabbing, while Tynes had an ingrown toenail that became infected.

On Tuesday, the same day that Mrs. Tynes created her Twitter page, Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano told ESPN that Tynes and Nicks were "responding well (to treatment)." He did add that he knew more about Nicks' situation because he was being treated at the team's facillity, while Tynes is at his home in Kansas City.

Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik said that the One Buc Place facility was treated twice since the MRSA diagnoses to prevent a further outbreak.

Tynes signed a one-year contract with the Bucs in July, after veteran Connor Barth went down with a season-ending injury. Tynes spent the last six seasons with the New York Giants, kicking overtime game-winners in the 2007 and 2011 NFC Championship games. He made a career-best 33 of 39 field goal attempts last season.

There is no timetable for Nicks or Tynes' return to action.
