Amanda Evans, Reporter
“I knew reporting was my passion after my very first interview,” says Amanda Evans.
In December 2009, Amanda Evans joined News 13 as a general assignment reporter.
Prior to Amanda’s arrival at News 13, she worked at WCIA 3 News in Champaign, Illinois as a reporter, producer and anchor. Expanding her communication experience, Amanda also studied Spanish abroad in Chile and Spain.
“I love telling people's stories and making sure people are held accountable. It's the most amazing feeling to know you're making a difference in your community.”
After having lived in the Midwest her whole life, Amanda continues to explore the natural beauty of her home in Central Florida. Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband Joe, playing with their cat Natasha, taking their puppy Wrigley to the Dr. Phillips dog park or just staying at home to cheer on one of their beloved Chicago sports teams.
