Ali Turiano, Meteorologist
She’s one of your Severe Weather Experts. Meteorologist Ali Turiano joined News 13 in June 2008.
Originally from Queens, N.Y., Ali is no stranger to Florida weather. She first became interested in the weather when she moved to Florida as a child. Growing up in Tampa, Ali started her weather career while still in high school as a weather intern at WFTS, the ABC affiliate in Tampa. Turiano earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology with an emphasis in Forecasting and Communications from Penn State. As a college student, she actively participated in Penn State’s College of Communications show, “The Centre County Report.” Ali also had a weather apprenticeship at the National Weather Service in State College, Pa.
Ali comes to News 13 from WENY, the ABC affiliate in Elmira, N.Y.
Ali enjoys dancing, cooking and sports. She loves rooting for her alma mater, the Nittany Lions, and when she gets the chance watching the Mets play ball. Recently, Ali has become an avid golf enthusiast and practices her golf swing whenever she can.
Ali Turiano holds the AMS Seal of Approval from American Meteorological Society.
